Canada based soap company Hornby Island Soap is primarily sold at farmers' markets but was keen to appeal to a younger, consumer conscious audience within Canada’s leading cities. The brief started out as developing an eye-catching sticker, but evolved into a  full re-brand.

The company wanted to open up its market audience and grow yet not  stray too far from its roots. It was important to reference the company’s heritage and retain a stylistic  link to the brand's history  through typographic and illustrative communication. 

With Hornby Island Soap's long standing hand crafted heritage it was important to retain this quality through the brands identity. For this reason a number of additional brand marks were developed and drawn by hand to highlight the beauty of imperfections and rawness.
